When you thrive on group exercise, the YMCA is the place to be. Qualified staff are available to help you find a class that best suits you and your needs. Our class schedules are designed with the members' needs in mind, and we're constantly seeking ways to better serve our members through group fitness.

Group Fitness Classes

Beginner Yoga (DT)
This is an introductory format of yoga that is gentle and soothing.  Members will learn the basic postures and poses in a non-intimidating environment.   Bring your own mat if you would prefer, or use one that we provide.

Belly Dancing (BJP, DT)

The ancient art of belly dancing comes to the Y!
This class is appropriate for any woman who has an interest in belly dance for fun or fitness in a comfortable atmosphere. Learn the basics of creative movement while improving core strength and balance. Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely; being barefoot will also be most comfortable.

Body Conditioning (DT)
An overall body shaping and strength class that emphasizes both upper and lower body with a step, dumbbells, and resistance tubing.

Body Sculpting (BJP)

This class will help participants develop muscular endurance and strength through use of dumbbells, stability balls, resistance bands and more!

Boot Camp (DT, BJP)
This “recess for grown-ups” class combines a wide variety of drills and exercises. Members will develop strength, speed, balance, and agility while fostering teamwork and group spirit. Portions of the class are held outside when the weather permits.

Burn 'n' Tone (BJP)
An aerobic/strength training workout guaranteed to burn calories. Lots of variety - anything goes in this class. You choose your own intensity level, so all fitness levels are welcome, including beginners.

Cardio Basic Step (BJP)
A terrific combination of different cardio workouts and weights. You will do biking, step, and weights for all-over body conditioning. For all fitness levels that want something new and challenging.

Cardio Pump (BJP)
Pump up your workout with this fun, intense cardio blast, following by an array of diverse body sculpting routines that use basic moves to allow you to concentrate on proper technique. Ideal for al members.

High Step/Slow Step (BJP)
Basic step movements working at a very slow pace while incorporating weights for upper body. All fitness levels welcome. No step experience needed and no fancy moves.

Hip Hop Dance (BJP)
The "now" moves of street dance done in the form of cardio exercise. Great fun for all age groups/fitness levels.


Kickboxing (DT)
A cardio workout that builds confidence while increasing endurance, strength, coordination, and flexibility.This class teaches proper technique for the fundamental punches and kicks without physical contact. Light handheld weights can be added when members become comfortable with the movement.

Kidfit (BJP)

A workout for youth ages 7 to 14. Parents are invited to exercise with their children. The class includes aerobics and strength training.

KidzFit (DT)

A fun group experience for 6- to 12-year-olds that develops skills and builds fitness through games and drills. Team-building and other core values also will be emphasized.

Max Pump (BJP)
This is an energizing and challenging workout circuit, combining cardio with an array of diverse body sculpting. Take the challenge to the next level!

Pilates (DT)
Pilates exercises emphasize “core training” – increased flexibility and improved strength in the abdominals, hips, and lower back. Members complete a variety of mat exercise on the floor and learn how to breathe to achieve the most benefit from those exercises. This class is beginner-friendly and is designed for members to advance as they are ready.

PiYo (DT)
PiYo is an athletic blend of yoga and Pilates with a faster pace yet a smooth flow. The relaxation, stretching, and strengthening of yoga is combined with the lengthening and core stability of Pilates for a challenging and effective workout. We recommend that you have previous yoga experience or come early to meet with the instructor before class.

Power Yoga (DT)

This is an ADVANCED class for members who are ready for an extra strength and flexibility challenge after becoming comfortable in open-level classes. We recommend that you have previous yoga experience or come early to meet with the instructor before class.

Sets, Reps & Core (BJP)
Change the way you think about conditioning. This is a quick-paced yet flowing conditioning class with emphasis on core stabilization.

SilverSneakers (DT & BJP)
A variety of exercises to increase muscular strength, range of motion, and flexibility to meet the needs of the active older adult. Members use handheld weights, elastic tubing, and balls for resistance, and are encouraged to use a chair for balance if needed. This class also encourages friendship and social interaction – members often meet in the bistro area before and after class.

Spinning (DT & BJP)
Spinning is a motivating indoor cycling class that parallels riding outside on a real bike. Members ride together but decide their own intensities by choosing the settings on their bikes. We recommend bringing a water bottle and towel. Stop by the front desk or call as early as the day before class to reserve a bike. For your first class, please arrive 10 minutes early to meet with the instructor and get help with bike set-up.

Step & Go (DT)
A structured class that uses a raised bench for a cardio workout.  The instructor breaks routines into simple segments, so all ability levels are welcome.

Step 'n Strength (BJP)
Step your way into fitness and increase cardio endurance and muscular strength with the use of weights, bands, etc. A fun and effective step class that blends all fitness levels together.

Step Revival (BJP)
Non-stop step aerobics with some dance thrown in. Fun, fun, fun for all fitness levels. You pick the difficulty level.

Tai Chi (DT)
A gentle form of exercise that is relaxing and flowing and promotes strength, vitality, serenity, and well-being. Elements of qigong, a meditative practice using slow, graceful movements and controlled breathing, are also included.

Yoga (DT & BJP)
This class promotes flexibility, balance, proper alignment, strength, and relaxation by coordinating breathing with movement through various poses.  Members will move at their own level in a non-competitive atmosphere.  Mats are provided, or members can bring their own.

Pilates/Yoga (BJP)
A great combination of Pilates strength training and yoga flexibility. You get the best of both "Zen" worlds. All fitness levels are welcome.

Zumba (DT & BJP)

A “fitness dance party” that uses Latin music and dance steps for a fun total body workout with no required equipment.  Routines are introduced in segments and repeated for several classes before changing.  Members can begin this class at any time and do not need any dance experience to have an enjoyable workout.
